About

I’m a ceramic artist who has been pursuing art for 20+ years. My artistic passion began with a love of printmaking, which led to a BFA in Studio Arts from Concordia University in Montreal. Following an initial ceramics' course in 2008, I underwent studies at the Centre de Céramique Bonsecours, also in Montreal, where I followed a three-year program. Since graduating from that program in 2012, I’ve been engaged full-time in the ceramic field creating tableware and sculptures. I love what I do and consider myself immensely privileged to be able to hone such a noble craft. Working with clay allows me to be present and keeps me humble and grounded.

My process

I'm not sure if I choose clay or it chooses me. It has a hold on me. I love it for its versatility, its sensuousness, its animate potential. When I'm in the studio, I feel alive and excited. I am also deeply connected to the present, to here, to now. I think that touch has a lot to do with this. And it is through touch that I am looking to connect with you.

My tableware collections

My current tableware collections are about contrast, about a juxtaposition between the organic and the inanimate. They are also about the generosity of the human spirit, the beauty of nature, space and time, about pause, about intimacy.

The originality and uniqueness of the pieces in the Jellyfish, Generosity, Turbine and Hot Air Balloon Boat collections come from the placement, dimensions and quantity of the decals, which differ from one piece to another. The uniqueness of the Blue collection is inspired by the way the pieces are glazed in the moment.
